SMD MacBen Nel is a 13-month-old son of SMD Lord Baron Nelson and SMD Maytle Brigos. A type-correct Dexter yearling bull, he has developed with unusual balance and substance for his age—36 inches at 13 months, already thick, deep, and wide on a correct set of legs. His structure, temperament, and presence mark him as a herd improver.

MacBen is sired by SMD Lord Baron Nelson, whose daughters are freshening with udders that excel in teat placement and size while holding strength in fore attachment, height, and width. His steers finish with the weight and carcass quality expected in a true dual-purpose herd. On the maternal side, MacBen is out of SMD Maytle Brigos, an accomplished show female and proven brood cow of depth and power. This pairing is bred to produce durable, functional cattle that advance both breeding and production goals.

 

As a yearling, MacBen was named Reserve Grand Champion Bull at the Nebraska State Fair, a result that reflects his correctness and type.
